Mercedes ML Suv
Mercedes Benz arguably started the Luxury Midsize SUV class by themselves with the introduction of the Mercedes M Class SUV, and with a much needed redesign coming in 2006, they have continued to lead.
The Mercedes Benz ML has always been known for its luxurious ride, roomy interior, powerful array of drive trains, and elegant appointments. Additionally, Mercedes was one of the first to bring a diesel into the luxury midsize SUV market with the advent of their Mercedes ML320 CDI, and later on in life their BLUETec models. With seating for 5 adults and storage room to match, the Mercedes ML has always had the space to move people, but its real spark has come in just how fast it can do its job. Trim levels have included the Mercedes ML320 CDI Diesel, a 50 state legal Turbocharged V6, a hybrid powered Mercedes ML450, the 268 horsepower 3.5 liter V6 equipped Mercedes ML350, and the ML550, a 382 horsepower 5.5 liter V8 powerhouse of an SUV. Mercedes friends over at AMG have also offered a variant of the Mercedes ML, with their ML63 AMG, an absolute monster with a 503 horsepower V8 engine.
Mercedes has always trimmed their vehicles nicely even in base form, with standard full time all wheel drive in all but their ML350 models, automatic climate control, power adjustable leather clad seats, and Mercedes Benz COMAND interface. Additionally adaptive steering and damping, bi-xenon headlights, Mercedes Benz traction control, and an upgraded COMAND powered navigation system are all available with the ML Class SUV.
Driving the Mercedes ML has given off the same impression since its inception, with a solid yet luxurious ride in most trims. The exception to this has been the AMG variants, most notably the Mercedes ML63 AMG which has sacrificed some comfort for unparalleled grip and razor sharp handling. The only downside we have ever really seen with the midsized German SUV has come when looking at its sticker. That said, most people in the luxury mid sized SUV market understand that you get what you pay for, and with the Mercedes ML, you get a lot.
